Update courtesy of TRO.
Rescued orphan, Faith’s beautiful and adorable little boy, 18 days old, is thriving. Faith who, on the day of her calf’s birth, stuck with her orphan friends, had motherly instincts kick in 24 hours post partem. She moved her little one away from the bulls and is nursing the calf. Very attentive and protective she spends daytimes on plains areas but moves into the warmer and more protected thickets at night. As a team we stand proud of the fact that an orphaned rhino, who was raised by humans since the tender age of 6 weeks after her mother was poached, has successfully integrated into a wild population and has come full circle, now rearing a calf of her own. Well done little Faith, well done!
