Rhino orphan success story – Faith

Recently celebrating the 1st Birthday of Montle’s calf we have received the incredible news of a second calf born to one of the orphans we have raised.

Faith has given birth to a beautiful baby boy! Although mom was really confused by the baby after he was born, the monitoring team kept close watch and have reported the baby drinking well. Faith’s life-long companion, Lunga, and another orphan, Matthew, is by her side too, so the monitoring team will continuously keep close watch on the situation to ensure that they present no danger to the baby. It is such a privilege to witness the resilience of the rhino orphans, and the incredible instincts of especially the females, now taking care of little ones themselves, leaves us in awe. It is nothing short of amazing.
