Fires still burning

Same fire again. Came in from outside the Pilanesberg border on the Nkakane and Tilodi areas. Absolutely terrifying. Managed to put it out but if the wind picks up there is no knowing what can happen. No harmed animals seen and still enough grass to feed the current animals luckily!

Controlled burns in the Park

Control burns are taking place in the Pilanesberg currently. However we also had another wildfire come in to the Park from the neighboring Mogwase area. Thanks Charlotte, Geoff, Ferdi, Wynand and Steve for controlling that one too! So far so good and we will be keeping an eye on things!

Mankwe hide walkway update

Work has started awhile ago and progress is being made. The walkway will be completed first then the poles and the hide. Then the roof. Rhino treatment

We treated a Rhino that has a wound which formed an abscess on the outside skin. The Vet, Dr Gerhardus Scheepers seems certain the would is as a result of the Rhino being shot some time ago.
