Last year at our annual golf day we auctioned off a rhino notching and trimming experience as part of our rhino fundraising campaign. Ian Foster won one of the 2 bids on offer and this morning the family joined us for a beautiful start to the day. We notched and de-horned a young male calf and trimmed his moms horn. As you know, all our rhino in Pilanesberg are de-horned. The notchings in their ears are for ID purposes for management on the ground. Thank you to the Fours and Fives. And thank you to our team and Wouter that managed to join us. It was a textbook notching and trimming!
