Update on rhino poaching case!
All three accused are sentenced to 35, yes you read correctly, 35 years in prison each. I’d like to thank all the people that made this arrest, investigation and sentencing possible. Three years of work and patience to get justification for three rhino who harmed no one and who’s only error is the fact that they have horns. Thank you all for the support and determination to bring justice to those who do not have a voice. May we always be their voices. May we always protect them.
As you all know we have been fighting rhino poaching since 2010 in Pilanesberg. We have had many, many heart-breaking tragedies. Many, many heart -breaking moments that made us wonder about our planet and it’s humanity. No matter what support we get or don’t get, the fight has to go on. We attempt to win some battles at least. And maybe one day, dare we dream, we may win the war. Today was such a watershed moment in court. Where hope shone so bright and three poachers that our Anti-Poaching team caught in 2018 were found GUILTY of their heinous crime of slaughtering three rhino cows in Pilanesberg.
