This evening they were successfully released into the quarantine boma before going to Mozambique. Today Tale’s cheetah cubs were captured to be relocated to other reserves. Three will go to Mozambique and one to Hoedspruit. As we are all aware these cheetah are related to all the males and females in Pilanesberg National Park & Wildlife Trust and need to rather move and grow populations of cheetah elsewhere. Thanks to Vincent Van Der Merwe of EWT for arranging new homes for the 4 adult cheetah. The EWT is responsible for managing the cheetah metapopulations in South Africa. Thank you also to Dr Zöe Glyphis for coming as soon as we called to assist us in darting and capturing the 4 cheetah. The entire operation went so well! Thanks SPOTS for being in attendance in case we needed a drone!
