As at 15 March, all the entrances to Manyane resort are now open. It seems they were finally paid. Please note they were not part of North West Parks. I am not sure if the Golden Leopard Resorts are fully functional yet but please call this number to check: (071) 399-7952. This is their reservation number that was listed. Update on access – 13 March 2023;
I believe protests continued today but the staff are hopefully going to get their final payments today. I will update as I get info.
11 March 2023:
The entry into the Pilanesberg National Park via Manyane Gate has been cleared for now.
The protesters were there striking due to no pay or late pay or both. Sadly they have not left a great impression but I am sure that this will all be sorted this week. Let’s hope at least. Don’t let it stop you visiting the Park please as there is access at other gates and a detour through the office area if the road is blocked. I will keep you posted.
Tar for the potholes has also been ordered and the grader is being repaired as well. Hydraulic issues and the PWT has assisted the Park.
