Many thanks to Clare Chick for arranging comedians Clare Plested and Mark Simmons in a fun filled comedy evening for the benefit of the Pilanesberg Rhinos! Last night in the Great Bridgeford Village Hall close to Staffordshire, the event which Clare has been been working on for many months now finally got underway. The comedians, Clare and Mark, had the audience in stitches and the evening was a huge success! Everything went as planned and was extremely well organised!
To all who assisted Clare Chick with this huge task: Tony, Rachel Everitt, Natalie Tyler-Wilcox, Bill and Linda Budd, Kevin and Linda Rollings, Rob Hemmings and Mike Walker, thanks for the support, and for making this possible! Clare Plested – thank you for immediately offering to participate for no fee, and the Swan Hotel offered accommodation free of charge.
To the local businesses, the Hollybush Pub, the Swan Hotel, and the local paper, many thanks for supporting this great cause!
To the artist David Gleeson, and photographer Mark Sisson, many thanks for the works of art that you kindly donated for the event!
To Beanyutiful – thanks for the stunning Rhino beanie that you provided for the event as well!!
To those who bought tickets in support of the event.. thank you very much, as without you this event would not have happened!
Last but not least, Clare Chick, thank you so much from us all across the miles in Pilanesberg for your passion, dedication and perseverance. For taking on the cause of our threatened Rhinos, and making it your mission to assist us wherever you can. Here with the comedy event, and with your cycling! Words aren’t adequate to express our appreciation for the work you are doing to assist the Rhino Protection Unit.
Our only wish was that we could have been with you on the night to assist you with this massive task, and to personally say thank you!! To everyone who assisted and supported the “Stand up for Rhinos” event. So far an amount of £1,200.00 has been raised with a couple more donations still coming in.
