A young serval was caught by Stephen Dell just outside the Pilanesberg in the village. The locals thought it was a leopard. Currently vet Dr Schoustra in Rustenburg is treating the young lad along with another serval that was also brought in to her for treatment. Hopefully we can release them in the park once they are fully recovered!
A warthog that was running around the EEZ area of Pilanesberg with a snare around its body has also been treated and the snare removed. Fortunately these animals are quite resilient so it should make a full recovery!!
