Saturday 27 June 2015, a report came through of an injured Rhino cow. She was seen with a young calf of around 12 months.

Steve Dell (Field Ecologist) arranged for the Vet and Pilot to get to Pilanesberg as soon as possible Sunday.

Early Sunday morning, the 28 June 15, Vet Ryan Jeffery, arrived on the scene with Pilot Nico Jacobs.
The Rhino and her calf were both immobilized, to cause the least stress to both animals, while the mom was being attended to.

The wounds were very extensive, with broken ribs and large lacerations, amongst others. The rib cage air sac had also collapsed.
