When all things go as planned… Thank you RAE safaris and Jennifer and Josh for making today possible. I think there are many more enlightened people after todays rhino work – you were a beautiful group of people. As you all know we dehorn all rhinos in Pilanesberg National Park after 160 rhino were poached / killed here between 2010 and 2020. In 2020 the North West Parks and Tourism Board made a decision to dehorn all of the Pilanesberg rhinos in an attempt to lower their risk of being killed for their horn. This is a temporary measure put in place until a permanent acceptable solution can be found.
