So we have been out doing potholes in the Pilanesberg the passed few days. We know there is a long long way to go, but we are doing the best we can with what we have. Thank you to those that stop and say thank you – sadly a lot simply pretend we are not actually there. The Pilanesberg Wildlife Trust has purchased 1000 bags of cold tar. Each bag weighs 25kg and the 4 of us worked hard today to do as many as possible. Thank you Liesel and Bruce for joining us. The 1000 bags will not complete the project, and if we wait for the money promised from government (R5,000,000.00) we could wait forever. So we may as well start!
Anyone keen to donate, each bag is R 70 delivered, please do so on the PWT website. Please use reference ‘Tar’ and your name. Please do not leave money at gates as we are keeping track of exactly what comes in for this specific project. In the comments have been some concern about durability and method.
NB: Please read the attached image of this cold tar. It says it all. This is all that we are capable of on our level. Feel free to contact me if you need more info. Thank you Lottie Marais and Lené Hurter and Liesel and hubby Bruce Allen for assisting.
