Last week Madikwe Game Reserve, sister Park to Pilanesberg, took a huge loss to their dwindling Rhino population. 3 Rhino cows and 1 bull calf were brutally murdered in close proximity to each other! This means that the poachers had time to do their disgusting deed. Right on the Park northern fence close to Derdepoort! And not too far away, in Klerksdorp, 5 Rhino were brutally attacked and 4 of these have died, and 1 is critical or has died!!
And also not far away, a vet in Limpopo was broken into and large amounts of darting medication stolen.
There are no words that can change these horrific deeds. These precious animals are dead! As long as the demand for Rhino horn is alive, Rhino will die. We will do everything in our power to protect this magnificent creature, so please support us in whichever way you can.
To our Rhino Protection Units that do all they can to protect our animals we say thank you, and continue the good work. To the poachers we say your deeds will not go unpunished. The earth moves in mysterious ways, and she takes care of those who do harm, in her own way.
