Game count Pilanesberg! This will take place for the next couple of weeks. The routine is to fly strips of about 200 meters, up and down while those counting call out the animals visible in that window of 200 m. A scribe writes up the data as it’s called out. The park is covered 3 times over, so as to get as accurate a count as possible. This is an expensive but necessary procedure in order to know the trends in populations of all species in Pilanesberg.
