Rhino notching, dehorning, and tagging project Pilanesberg National Park. As you’re all aware the Pilanesberg Wildlife Trust continues to raise funds to protect rhinos in the Park. This weekend was no exception and together with Michelin South Africa sponsoring the costs, and the PWT, we worked on 2 rhinos in the Park. This work was not invented to make money or to abuse any rhinos. This is critical work done to keep rhinos as safe as possible. The work also does not mean all other Rhino Protection projects like the Rhino Protection Unit, Bat Hawk aerial surveillance, and a plethora of other systems in place come to a halt. All are still part of the protection of rhinos in Pilanesberg. Any additional funds raised by the PWT for rhino will only be used to protect rhino where Park funds are not available. Thank you Bold Engagement and Michelin for the support and passion – thank you to all involved in making this possible. Thanks also to the general public on the Park for their support and cooperation. Thanks to our amazing team for work well done
Please note that the PWT is a PBO and can issue 18A tax certificates for donations for our range of projects.
