Lion collaring last night with Steve’s Nature Conservation students Gladys and Mashego. So great to see the youth getting involved and the level of interest out there. This lioness’s collar had stopped working, so it was time to replace it. Most coalitions of lions in Pilanesberg will have a collar fitted to one member of the coalition. This allows for them to be identified and tracked when necessary. The Pilanesberg Wildlife Trust assists in veterinary costs of lion work and collar purchases for lions.
