Young Ike has settled in at HESC and made Phillippa his guardian. Adine assures me he is calmer but not completely at ease yet.
Ike is a survivor of a poaching incident in Pilanesberg National Park over 2 years ago. He was shot, horns removed and left for dead. While on a walk Frank Bouwer spotted him and realised something was amiss. Ike (meaning Trust) was captured and treated numerous times by Saving the Survivors while in the boma here in Pilanesberg. For his own safety in the wild, Ike was moved to HESC which is his new home. Thanks Adine for the images of Ike with Phillippa!
