Great number of service years Warren Best and well done in all that has been achieved by FOPS in that time. That is about how long ago Steve and I arrived in Pilanesberg. FOPS have done amazing work since then and before then and I’m sure this support in Pilanesberg will continue with Bruce Allen.
Thanks to everyone at Fops Sediba for the years of work and dedication to and in Pilanesberg National Park & Wildlife Trust. Thank you Warren, and good luck Bruce. The following information is courtesy of FOPS:
“Today we held our annual AGM at a new venue being the Kloofendal Nature Reserve. The AGM was well attended and Karin Spottiswoode from FroKs (Friends of Kloofendal) started by giving us some information on the nature reserve and more importantly their drive to rid the area of alien vegetation.
Our AGM went off smoothly and it was a year where a number of posts on the committee were up for nomination. Congrats to Lauren Gunn, Lampies Lamprecht and Debbi Adcock who were nominated to continue in their roles as secretary, treasurer and social media/website designer respectively. We welcome a new member on board being Bruce Allen who is now our new chairman. Congrats Bruce! You have huge boots to fill but we are sure you’re up for the task. Warren Best, after over 20 years of service on the Fops committee, eventually decided to step down as chairman. He has held an integral part in our society which truly has been invaluable. As a result, Warren and Heidi Best were given Fops’s highest recognition as Honorary Members.
Congrats to all and here’s wishing Fops another successful year (hopefully the new year will be less challenging).”
