Yesterday we drove the routes for our annual cycle event in the Pilanesberg National Park. We loaded my bike so I could check some areas out, and it was simply awesome. The route will take the cyclists through some of the most amazing parts of the Pilanesberg. Most of the route is on management tracks and there are areas where we will be on the normal roads too. However, we have limited these as much as possible. We will ride both Saturday (50km) and Sunday (25km). This year will be the first time I’ll ride with these amazing cyclists, some of whom have been with us since our first event. The cycle tour is one of our primary fundraising events and we limit the number of entries for the sake of an awesome experience and for safety reasons. It’s a tour, not a race.
Thank you Chris Stafford for setting the route yesterday and always making the time so sort out all the operation on the ground. You are invaluable to this amazing event! Thanks Jess for being the ‘eyes’ and my 4×4 buddy! We look forward to the 9th Oct when we welcome back all those keen cyclists for their next ‘tour’.
