Update courtesy of TRO.

Anti-poaching dog, Hunter has been very confused and “out of routine” since the arrival of Annie last Friday night, with all the carers working 24/7. About 3 days after her arrival the carers were struggling with Hunter not having a good appetite but still eating. We thought it is because the carer whom he normally sleeps with have been in with Annie a lot, leaving our boy to sleep with someone else and that being upsetting to him. He is a sensitive soul after all. On Wednesday morning he refused his food completely and we decided to take him to meet Annie. We are extremely cautious with the older calves and the dogs as they are not used to them and may get aggressive towards our K9’s. Needless to say they can seriously injure the dogs. But taking Hunter over to Annie, he was in cloud nine, wagging his tail and keen to meet her through the barrier. She called out to him once or twice and they silently had a conversation through the barrier. Directly after, Hunter polished his food bowl and we haven’t struggled with his appetite ever since. He just wanted to see for himself that Annie was ok. Animals will never cease to amaze us.
