Thanks to all at Anglo American for making this notching possible. You were such an awesome and passionate group!
Notchings (marking the Rhino’s ear and chipping their horns) is essential management work necessary to identify individual Rhinos in the Park. This is how we identify who is where in the Park, who is mating who, who is pregnant, and who has had a calf, etc. DNA is also collected from the Rhino and sent to a central database for use in criminal cases. We rely on sponsors to participate so that we can raise the necessary funds to assist the Pilanesberg management in notching the Rhinos on the Park.
Thanks Anglo American for making this possible. For inquiries to participate please feel free to contact the PWT on manager@pwt.org.za
