Yesterday morning guests alerted us to an injured Rhino bull they had seen in the Pilanesberg. Once we had all the relevant parties available we set out to find the Rhino with Pilot Nico Jacobs. The little rescued Madikwe calf has been nick-named Sammy. She is slightly better but not out of the woods. Drank a little but not standing on her own yet. She is being lifted and massaged to compensate.

Rhino calf in Madikwe moved to safety today. Injuries sustained from another Rhino were bad enough that it was decided the calf should be moved to an orphanage with the abilities to treat her.
